The 7th edition of the festival that celebrates the women of tango will take place from March 23 to 26, 2023!

Festival overview

For this 7th edition of Tanguerafest, the festival that marks International Women's Day by celebrating the women of tango, we will have the pleasure of welcoming Carolina Bonaventura, who will offer performances and workshops. The complete schedule of classes and activities will be available soon. We will keep you informed, of course!

Tanguerafest is organized by Connexion Tango, in collaboration with MonTango.

Thursday, March 23

at MonTango

•8-9 p.m. Drop-in class for all with Carolina
Crosses and musicality (intermediate)
Classe only: $20

-One hour of supervised practice followed by a mini-milonga
-DJ Andrea
Class and practilonga: $30
Practilonga only: $15

Friday, March 24

at MonTango

•6:45-8 p.m. T1 Workshop with Carolina
Sensitivity, stability and reaction in backward weight transfers (accent on the receiver role).

•8-9 p.m. Drop-in class for all with Carolina
Rebounds as creativity triggers (inter-advanced)
Class only: $20

•9 p.m.-2 a.m. La Milonga Connexion Tango

Milonga only: $20

Packages, registration and more

A. Complete package: $215 ($205 Connexion Tango members) (4 technique workshops, Yoga, 2 drop-in classes, 1 practilonga, 3 milongas)

B. Milongas package: $65 ($60 Connexion Tango members) (1 practilonga, 3 milongas)

C. Workshops package: $125 (4 technique workshops + Yoga)

Packages available until March 20.

Workshops: Partners are not needed for the T1-T4 workshops. Certain workshops place more emphasis on one role or the other, but all are meant for everyone. Advance registration is required for the T1-T4 workshops and yoga. Please bring socks as well as your dance shoes, and for yoga, a mat if you have one.

For the Thursday and Friday drop-in classes, you can attend alone, but we cannot guarantee you a partner. Partner changes will be encouraged.

For individual milongas and drop-in classes, you can reserve in advance (recommended) or pay at the door, as long as there is space available.

Clothing swap: Bring your tango clothes that no longer fit or that you no longer like and get something "new" in exchange. $10 minimum donation to participate, then take an item for each item you contribute OR pay $10 per item you "buy." All funds will go to Chez Doris. Free coffee!

Donate: $1 from each entrance for Sunday's milonga with be donated to Chez Doris. You wish to give more? There will be a donation box at the welcome table.
